(2009-03-19) During the course of his first trip to Africa last March, Pope Benedict XVI presented the bishops with the preparatory document of the next Synod for Africa.
The ceremony took place in Yaoundé, in Cameroon, March 19th, at the city’s Stadium, at the end of the Eucharistic celebration which was attended by more than five thousand faithful.
Songs and dances of highly artistic and spiritual quality were performed
to underline the importance of the moment for the entire Church in Africa. |
